Another news-packed episode sees Athletics Weekly preview this week's GB Olympic Marathon Trails. Staying on the Olympic theme, organisers have announced the probably inevitable news that no international spectators will be allowed to visit for this summer’s Games.

Runners World reports that the Barkley Marathons has won again as in the first race in almost two years there were no finishers at the ultra -endurance event in Frozen Head State Park in Wartburg, Tennessee.  Two participants – three-time Barkley finisher Jared Campbell and Tor des Géants finisher Luke Nelson – completed three loops of the Barkley course in 40 hours, but no one started a fourth loop.

Adidas is developing a 100% recyclable shoe called Futurecraft Loop, which is expected to be available in 2021 reports Business Insider and in other footwear news Running Insight reports that new shoe brand Vimazi, founded by industry veteran Scott Tucker, is on pace for an August debut.

SportsInsight.com reports that AirPop Active+ Face Mask: The World’s first smart air wearable for active movement is now shipping,  and Run 247 reports some interesting industry news from LimeLight Sports Group. The team behind some of the UK’s biggest events as they unveil a new division: LimeLight Sports Technologies.
